Dr John Aloizos AMMBBS FRACGP FAICD
Dr John Aloizos AM is a graduate of the University of Queensland and has worked as a General Practitioner at Upper Mt Gravatt, Brisbane since 1977. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
John is currently on the board of Quality in Practice Pty Ltd (QIP, since 2003) and Inala Primary Care Ltd (IPC, since 2007) and a Board member of Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL, since 2007) and Attune Hearing Pty Ltd (since 2008). John is the immediate past Chair of the Australian Pharmaceutical Advisory Council (APAC, 2001 - 2008), the inaugural Chair of Australian Divisions of General Practice Ltd (ADGP - now known as AGPN, 1998-2000), previous President of the Queensland Divisions of General Practice Assoc. Inc. (QDGP - now know as GPQ, 1999- 2002) and also the inaugural Chair of Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL, 1997-2003).
In January 2003, he was awarded a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia by the Australian Government for services to medicine, particularly medical administration, and the Australian Divisions of General Practice.
Mr Gary Smith
Gary Smith has over 23 years experience in Practice Management. He manages a 9 Doctor General Practice at Penrith, which is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. He is an active member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers. Gary was National President of the Association from 2000 to 2003. Currently he is the Immediate Past President of the NSW branch, he is a Fellow of the Association and a Life Member. Gary represents his Association on a number of advisory committees, task groups and expert standing committees in the health care sector. He is the Academic Director for the University of New England Partnerships Cert III in Business (Health Administration) He is also a Director of the University of New England Partnerships. Gary has been a surveyor with the Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd since the inception of Accreditation in Australia. He is an Independent Director to AGPAL and Director to Quality in Practice (QIP).
Ms Catherine (Kate) Gunn
Kate is a Co-Founder and Director of Balance! Healthcare Pty Ltd and is currently the CEO. She is a fellow of the AICD, and is also currently a Director of Larkfield Pty Ltd and the President and Chair of the National Foundation for Australian Women (NFAW). Kate is an experienced CEO and General Manager, and has previously been a Director of Linkwest Ltd and uwsconnect Ltd.
Ms Karen Crouch
Karen is a Co-Founder of Balance! Healthcare Pty Ltd. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Health Practice Creations Group Pty Ltd and the Principal Solicitor of HPC Legal. She is a lawyer who was previously legal counsel the Australian Medical Association (NSW) and TressCox Solicitors. She holds a Certificate IV in Business and Diploma in Practice Management. She writes for many medical journals, provides regular seminars and has advised on medico-legal, workplace issues and general procedural matters pertaining to almost every aspect of the health practice for over 10 years.
