Focused on Your Education & Training

The GP Super Clinics will provide placements for University medical, nursing, dental and allied health students, as well as vocational training for GP Registrars.

Our goal is to offer students and Registrars employment in the long-term.

Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") will play a key role within the Clinic. In addition to CPD activities for GPs, we will provide Continuing Education sessions for all practitioners.

The Clinics will have a dedicated educational infrastructure, including teaching and clinical practice spaces and technology resources. Video-conferencing and tele-conferencing facilities will enable staff to access presentations by visiting experts from other parts of Australia and from overseas.

Our GP Superclinics are located in: two of the major tourism regions of Australia, and the world, each with World Heritage National Park status.

Blackheath, Blue Mountains, New South Wales

The following GP Superclinics are not established yet:
Springwood, Blue Mountains, New South Wales - anticipated opening in August 2010
Edmonton, Cairns, Queensland - anticipated opening December 2010

The Blue Mountains are located 100km or a 90 minute drive west of Sydney. Approx 80,000 people live along a ridge of the Great Dividing Range in 27 towns and villages from Glenbrook in the Lower Mountains to Blackheath in the Upper Mountains. Home to the famous Three Sisters in Katoomba, the Blue Mountains offers fresh air, bush walking, superb restaurants and a relaxed lifestyle.

Cairns is a beautiful city located in Tropical Far North Queensland where the famous Great Barrier Reef meets World Heritage listed tropical rainforests. A city of 200,000, Cairns possesses few of the problems associated with a capital city (traffic, crime, smog, etc.) yet still manages to provide every comfort in the way of shopping, entertainment, restaurants and nightlife.

If you are into sports like hiking, canyoning, mountain biking, horse riding, rock climbing, abseiling, sailing, diving, snorkeling, or white water rafting then Balance! Healthcare can offer you the lifestyle locations.

RELOCATION AND SUPPORT PROGRAM

Balance!Healthcare have put together a comprehensive Relocation and Support program with all the information you require for locating to the Blue Mountains or Cairns in Australia. This program is available to both national and to overseas candidates.

How we can help you find balance in your life:

Balance! Healthcare have put together a comprehensive Relocation and Support program with all the information you and your family require for locating to the Blue Mountains or Cairns in Australia.

We will assess your needs, and aim to assist you or provide advice, to ensure your relocation goes smoothly. We will help you consider the big issues as well as the small and provide you with attention from the time you arrive, such as:

  • Transport from the Airport to your destination.
  • Homesearch: Finding somewhere to live, getting connected to essential household services and settling into your new home;

OVERSEAS MEDICAL REGISTRATIONS AND VISA ASSISTANCE

Balance! Healthcare team will work with you through the process of gaining medical registrations in Australia and act on your behalf if you are based in your home country.

Balance! Healthcare offers visa sponsorship to its overseas staff. A temporary working visa will be arranged for you and your partner and family, we will also assist you in gaining Australian permanent residence.
